Jeff Post, the owner of this 1971 Charger R/T, was unsatisfied with the car's performance.  The engine was short on power, plus the A/C wasn't working.  He took it to Basik to have everything fixed.

The engine was found to have low compression and other problems, a result of a hodge-podge parts rebuild with too large of a cam, early small-port truck heads, and poor piston choice.  Jeff opted for a rebuild.  And with the engine out of the car, he wanted the engine compartment restored at the same time.  Remember, at Basik, we are a full service shop, so getting all of this done at one time was not a problem.

The engine compartment was stripped, sand-blasted, and repainted. 

The engine has been rebuilt and now runs excellent.  The engine compartment gleams and sparkles as well as the rest of the car.
