The car has been completely disassembled and sand-blasted. The car is currently nearing completion. We will follow the progress on these pages. Notice that the car is supported on a jig, not a rotisserie! Hanging new sheet metal while on a rotisserie is a serious mistake!
Car bodies sag while mounted on a rotisserie, especially when major sections of sheet metal have been removed. Look closely at some cars that have been restored on a rotisserie, and you'll notice inconsistent body lines and panel gaps. These are the result of rotisserie restoration. Rotisseries have their place in the restoration business, but they're not the proper support tool for sheet metal replacement. The proper way to support a car during sheet metal replacement is a jig attached to the primary support points of the suspension, distributing the weight evenly (instead of the furthest front/rear bumper mounts).
Trunk floor and inner wheelwells have been replaced.
